Forget Solo Mothers Bomber - Lets Talk Deadbeat Dads

http://i1.cpcache.com/product/311286090/real_dads_baby_onesie.jpg?color=SkyBlue

So nothing new in terms of quotes from the back catalogue of mine today but Bomber calls his appalling comment yesterday a "satirical quip".

No Martyn you can't get away with bile directed at me and belittling victims of a sex offender like that. Neither can the young fellow from ACT on Campus who told a woman who constantly abused him to "get raped". Not funny or defendable. The difference between the two is Bomber is old enough to be the ACT on Campus boy's father.

Satire is meant to be clever and funny. I have never used a sex offender in an argument against another person or would tell anyone to "get raped".

As the quintessential "anti-candidate" in that I know I am not perfect for office in a traditional "Head Girl" sense such as Jacinda Ardern or Nikki Kaye, I propose a Chris Christie school of political candidacy which is that I won't take shit from media, bloggers and commentators who are hypocrites and liars themselves attempting to hold me to moral standards that they themselves don't abide by. You want to participate in democracy and free speech, then play by your own rules.

There's never anything faux about my outrage.

So let's go back and talk about solo mothers for a moment because thus far Bomber's entire argument about my suitability as an ACT candidate revolves around one post and issue- that I hurt the feelings of the poor and downtrodden.

For each solo mother being knocked up not taking responsibility for children they cannot afford there is a - deadbeat Dad.

These deadbeat Dads are not necessarily the poor or brown, there's plenty of white, middle class, young earning hipsters out there not paying their share or playing nicely with their baby mummy. They are deadbeats because not only do they not pay for their children's support and maintenance, they neglect and abandon the mother and the child emotionally and physically.

Solo mothering is not a crime and I have never said it is. Another of Bomber's wild claims to distort issues. I do deem the crime to be fathers who abandon their families, harass women when they are pregnant and behave in a manner that threatens the mother of their child. I have had several friends go through this. It is horrible for them and it ruins not only their current life but their future relationships with men.

These men are behaving in a worse way than I could ever be accused of simply by questioning why the taxpayer should keep forking out for babies that these men and women cannot afford to ever independently raise.

For if the man stuck around to look after his lady and child, they'd be no need for the taxpayer to.

Bomber wishes to trawl through my archives so I will go to this one on the 2025 Taskforce where David Farrar suggested I called ACT Leader Don Brash a wimp for not going far enough. My comments here on the DPB:

DPB: This needs to be abolished. Unless there are safety concerns ALL fathers should be named and levied directly for child support for their individual child. Any mother under the age of 25 should have her parents means tested for eligibility for the dole should the father not be able to pay. This would incorporate a true whanau concept to child-rearing and make parents responsible for their children's decisions where they could not afford the child themselves.

It takes two to tango and I understand that it is never the fault solely of a woman that she falls pregnant. Men can be charming and charismatic as hell to pull a woman into the sack and have their fun. They can then be as uncharming and uncharismatic when a pregnant woman from a wild night of one night stand passion doesn't quite fit their life plan. Their career, their wife or public girlfriend, their mates or the demands of their own parents.

The Greens have even brought up the issue on their g.blog. I agree with them. Too many fathers are abandoning their children or using the law as an excuse for not paying or participating. These fathers may be wealthy or poor. I for one never condone the use of trusts for this purpose and have never participated in such sort of low-life estate planning.

There are plenty of good Dads out there looking after their kids despite the breakdown of the relationship with the mother of the children. These men pay their share, speak well of the mother, spend loads of time with the child and become a part of the child's life. There are also plenty of men desperate to see their kids who aren't allowed to as they are blocked out of the lives of the child and mother.

There are however more than a few bad apples that ruin the good name of men.

Anytime Bomber wishes to debate solo mothers we need to take into account my comments on deadbeat Dads. I say bring it on, enjoy the free speech and openness as I bring Chris Christie school of candidacy into NZ politics through social media.

Take shit from no one.

Least of all flea taxpayer funded alternative media.

New Quotes of the Day - Bomber In Gutter

Today Bomber Bradbury reached the gutter. It didn't take him long. Have a look at this from twitter.

Now I am proud and happy to be compared in the vile stakes to the popular and competent Paul Henry (who is fabulous and shares my concern for tables being moved from walls) and even Michael Laws, (who has an audience that Bomber can only dream of) but Graham Capill? A kiddie fiddler? Even Pinko Lew from Kiwipolitico thinks this is disgusting, and rightly so.

Words cannot describe how appalling I find kiddie fiddlers. And anyone who uses them in a political argument.

Bomber is a man clearly without any love in his life.

For every time I spill hatred in life I make sure I spill two times the amount of love somewhere else. It is the "two for one" principle. Right now for every piece of hatred I feel for Bomber for the Graham Capill comment there is a man in this world I think is very special in my life receiving twice the amount of love. He is enjoying it, while Bomber should be feeling the shame for belittling sex abuse victims.

As Hillary Calvert found out when she attacked poor little hens such as Matilda, the Wendyttle hen, I love penguins. Bomber is bored of them. How can you be sick of a penguin? People who spout negativity towards animals are without love. For as many photographs you will find me in a gun range, I have never brought myself to actually shoot an animal. I have missed shooting animals on purpose because I just cannot do it.

But I turn to his post today and respond in bullet points (because it is so verbose).

1. I confirm I have known Bomber since I was at University when we were teenagers. He hated me then and this hasn't changed.

2. I agree with Bomber's comment " She has a fierce intelligence and when I judged the NZ bloggers Union Awards last year, I voted for her to win as her financial analysis was the best on the blogosphere, in some regards I have nothing but respect for Cathy". That's right. Say it louder. And remember it when you write such nonsense about me.

3. "What does a silver spooned corporate lawyer earning half a million a year know about the realities of a woman living on the benefit in NZ and stoop to such language to attack and damn beneficiaries with?".

I object to this comment as my parents have never given me a cent of their wealth or advantage thereof to be deemed "silver spooned". I have earned every cent I have on my own. I have never taken a cent off a husband or boyfriend either, quite often all they have left me with is debt. I attended a very normal public school, was Dux of that school and Student Representative on the Board of Trustees and then earned my right to be at Auckland University Law School by gaining a Scholarship and A Bursary. I was the first person in my family to complete a Professional degree. I am proud of that. I am guessing my grades were significantly superior to Bomber's as well. He's probably a bit sad about that.

4. "Cathy says she will woo young female voters back to ACT, but how many women hating female voters are there?".

No I didn't. Women vote for hot or charismatic men before they vote for other women. If Bomber has seen John Key speak he will realise this. Women will vote for National because of John Key, not because of how many National Party women there are. Women will vote for ACT because of Don Brash. I said I would provide an alternative for the current female MP's and encourage younger and female candidates to stand. We will get back to this later.

5. "How much energy do you really wish to spend on fighting me each day Cathy?".

Not much because it doesn't take much.

"What was it? Your 5th version posted after midnight after you checked it past ACT HQ Cathy?".

No, I worked 15 hours that day after getting off a 12 hour flight from Auckland and came home at 11pm to read blogs for an hour. Same again tonight. See number 3 and you will realise what commitment it takes to earn the sort of income you claim I do.

6. "Ohhhhh, that's what it is is it? People like yourself wealthy enough to hide their income or pay it overseas, like those Farmers who only pay $1500 in tax each year? You're doing it for your poor taxpayer mates who loophole their way through life yet seem to need you in their spewing hate onto beneficiaries just to cut back a little more do they?".

I don't hide any income because I do not have to. I simply live in a country where it has sovereignty and has different tax laws than New Zealand. I have no New Zealand tax resident clientele because Roger Douglas closed all those loopholes in the 80's.

7. "Let's be very clear, I loath politicians and I have no ambition whatsoever to stand as one for Mana"

Bomber you loath yourself and have ambition for nothing. You can loath politicians all you like but until you constructively become part of the process you have no right at all to criticise without receiving it back. If I am a candidate, then I will be one who doesn't sit back and take shit from so called "media".

8. Bomber claims that I had a post on sterilisation. It was actually Michael Laws who suggested this and I even said it was unacceptable. Bomber quotes this in his post and needs to correct it:

"We aren't allowed to sterilise those most at risk of offending and Laws has already suggested a lump sum of $10k for sterilisation to much horrow and howling from those with no better answer, so how about another way?"

Conclusion:

Lets get back to the Bomber gutter. Because my number one concern is that female candidates will not put their name forward for Parliament with this sort of disgusting abuse. It is an excellent example. Whaleoil has posted on this recently for the National Party. And even Henrietta and Xena have commented.

Bomber has crossed the line, not for numbers 1-8 which I have answered succinctly above, but for mentioning my name in the same sentence as a convicted pedophile. By suggesting anything I say or do is going to damage the "weak" more than Graham Capill is a truly disgusting comment to make to anyone (except Clayton Weatherston) let alone a woman. Not to mention belittling the horrific nature of abuse suffered by victims of Capill's deeds.

Female candidates in politics face many challenges. Putting up with abuse is just one of them. I can now even read a Kiwiblog thread and it doesn't raise my blood pressure at all. When a female even thinks of standing for Parliament their appearance gets the once over, their sexual history likewise and moreso than men every other facet of their life. I can handle this, in a Chris Christie sort of fashion because I have spent more than a decade being trained to be like this as an adversarial lawyer - many won't.

What I cannot stand for is misogynist abuse muttering my name as more abusive to anyone than a convicted sex offender who claimed abusing an underage girl was consensual. Bomber just doesn't like women who challenge him. He can't handle it. How will he handle Mana's Annette Sykes for example? Or my former lecturer Jane Kelsey, if she gets on board, if he speaks of women and belittles sex abuse victims like this?

If Martyn "Bomber" Bradbury ever wished to know why he has yet to be taken seriously as a political commentator or given a national platform to spill his bile, then look no further than his mad utterings here.

It is about time Bomber you grew up, left University and took yourself a little more seriously than this.

Quote of the Day - The Best of Cactus Kate

Left-wing hate speech Mana Party aligned site Tumeke is running a series of quotes of the day from trolling through my blog in an attempt to increase my popularity among ACT leaning voters as shown in the recent Kiwiblog poll from leading pollster Curia:

I am wondering when Bomber Bradbury will invoice me with this sort of publicity. It is almost as lovely as this post by Brunette that even my mother wouldn't write.

Sadly Bomber Bradbury is one of the most intellectually and physically laziest people I have met in broadcasting. I know this obsession with myself will last all of a week so I am going to give him a hand today and every day he chooses to participate in his little "hate" charade against me and pick a post of my own - this one dated 3rd October 2010 on a 31 year old lady with now six children all paid for by the taxpayer.

Any system that allows such a demographic to breed, and then turns around and encourages them to keep having children over a period of a decade that they cannot afford, really deserves the outcome it gets. More welfarism.

I stand by this comment and I do not and never will represent Ms Tressa Simonsen. She will never vote ACT.

While the Mana Party will promise more money for this woman to further do nothing with her life and treat her as a victim to keep her impoverished and voting for more welfare, I seek to represent those who are paying for this woman's lifestyle choices and at the same time struggling to pay for their own family. All while they are contributing to the economy through paid employment.

That's not hate speech.

That's standing up for Taxpayers.

The "T" in ACT.

Bomber chooses to sit on the sidelines promoting to his taxpayer funded audience of his mother and close relatives, the likes of people of the quality of Hone Harawira, John Minto and Annette Sykes. All while purporting to be the Court of Public Opinion as to whom stand for Parliament for other political parties.

When will he put his name forward for selection himself for the scrutiny he seems to only place on others?

And how many people would be more likely to vote for Mana if he was a top 6 candidate? Lets see a Curia poll on that.

Statement on Potential ACT Candidacy

Over the weekend news that I have put my name forward to be a candidate for the ACT Party was released by several MSM outlets. ACT President Chris Simmons has also confirmed this to NZPA and so now I can officially confirm the news as well.

The reasons I am seeking to stand as a candidate for ACT are two-fold:

1. To encourage potential ACT female and younger suitably qualified candidates to do likewise at this early stage in the process.

2. To provide the ACT Board with an alternative to the current female candidate pool.

Contemporaneously Heather Roy announced she is quitting politics. I make no further comment on this other than I am delighted.

Loyalty to the Leader of ACT and focus on the ACT Party principles is paramount in any potential candidate. ACT is a small party and in 2011 it has to be a unified party of qualified, motivated candidates heading into the election. I support Don Brash as Leader of ACT and I support unequivocally the campaign management team and Board.

Some poorly read left-wing blogs have commented on my potential candidacy with respect to my apparent extremist views on a range of issues. I do not intend to delete any past material on my blog and stand by all of it. I simply ask for the material to be used in the context it was written as to date it has not been. For balance I link a mainstream alternative view to these detractors.

ACT is a minority party and I believe our appeal is to support National in government and in doing so keeping it honest to itself and the centre-right in terms of its economic policy and direction.

I believe John Key is doing a brilliant job of acting as a statesman, after- dinner speaker and winner, but a less than brilliant job of moving New Zealand forward with the sort of courageous reforms required outside simply more taxing and more spending.

ACT has an advantage in that it does not have to appeal to 50% of the population and I intend to concentrate solely on issues that affect our core voters. I am not interested in attempting to engage negatively with groups of New Zealanders who will never vote or even support ACT. I have spent many years doing so on this blog.

My personal views and blogging history aside I have worked both as a lawyer and company director for more than a decade predominantly in an international business environment dealing with people from all over the globe in the fields of taxation, trusts, compliance and estate planning for high net worth individuals and corporates. I have spent the past six years living and working in Hong Kong travelling all over Asia and the rest of the world.

I will continue these professional disciplines if the ACT Board approve my candidacy, as one of I understand many other applications, within the next fortnight.

More PC Nonsense

There's pretty much one taboo subject for men in the workplace. Women and their time spent on sick leave. The PSA threw out statistics claiming that there is "little difference" in the sick days taken in the public service:

The figures were based on data in the State Services Commission's Human Resources Capability Study and show that in 2010 men took on average 6.8 days sick and domestic leave annually while women took 8.4 days.

This difference of 1.6 days actually represents at 24% difference. Which is material.

Alasdair Thompson crossed into the taboo when mentioning the P word on top of that. Period.

Having a period can be for most women an inconvenience. For a reasonable percentage it is mild to utter agony. Analysing my moods, I'm usually in a decent mood during my period. Its the other 26 or 27 days a month that the Alasdair's of this world should worry about. I'm in a decent mood because I'm nicely high on Advil twice a day because I feel poorly. Sometimes I have a day off if it is bad enough, yes. Sometimes my female staff have same and I don't even ask them for a sick note.

The world doesn't stop however as I've things to do in my job and I have to just make up the time later or even take calls and send the odd email from the deathbed. That's the reality of most sick leave as few above average paid jobs allow your day off to mean that's it as it would in say retail or lower level service jobs.

Women are paid less because quite simply they have babies, are in and out of the workforce and pick careers necessarily that the market doesn't value. At a professional level I don't accept women do get paid less for equal work. Because they aren't doing equal jobs with men to compare against

Not to complain as I've friends far worse during the P time. From those who actually can't get out of bed, suffer bleeding of towel sized mop ups that would send Alasdair running to Mummy with a hanky or actually end up having the equipment removed before they can even have children because of the side effects. Any person who says that women need to harden up when it comes to period pain has obviously never had such low driving recurrent seemingly endless pain and cramps themselves.

Alasdair Thompson is a halfwit for even bringing up the topic. He's worse because he attempted to defend his comments on television in a remarkable performance.

But it is not a sackable offence. Just as Paul Henry's comments, Paul Holmes' comments, Michael Laws' outbursts are not sackable offences. Too often New Zealand has become a nation of "sack 'em" whingers. Every time a white male (and they always are that hit the news) opens their mouth and upsets someone New Zealanders want them sacked.

Forgetting completely all the good things they have done. And that at the end of the day, speaking their minds in the scheme of things in the world doesn't actually negatively affect anyone.

My advice to men regarding women and sick leave and periods is just STFU, no brainer, you will never win.

Talk about something else, like the weather.

Random Impertinent Question For the Morning

If Hubbard was running a ponzi scheme where were the money laundering charges under s243 of the Crimes Act?

Hubbard Now Public Enemy #1

http://www.acervoclube.com/images/mr_magoo_2.jpg

The SFO announced yesterday that Allan Hubbard is to face not one or two but 50 charges. And they don't seem done at that as other Hubbard entities are still under investigation. The charges seem to include:

theft by a person in a special relationship (Section 220 of the Crimes Act)
false statement by a promoter (Section 242)
false accounting (Section 260)

This may seem quite extraordinary however SCF remember has been underwritten for a lazy billion or so by the taxpayer. The costs keep rising and the recoverabilities keep (euphemistically) adjusting. Treasury officials have been made to look like tits for putting the company in the scheme in the first place then keeping it there despite blatant breaches of the Deed and Bill English has stuck his own neck out in the process.

Quite simply the SFO HAD to charge him. Remember there is a difference between being charged and convicted but with this breadth of capture, my bet is Hubbard is 6 foot under before the case is ever near a Court.

The SFO can't lose with this approach. They aren't playing to win on 50 charges here they are playing not to lose. And if the case doesn't actually make it through the Courts due to Hubbard's health then they win.

They win because most "average" people think that 50 charges equals guilt. Those of us with IQ's over 110 and a business or legal background know that this isn't necessarily true. I still give Hubbard the benefit of the doubt on the criminality issue.

I've dealt with people who have the stress of one charge of fraud by the SFO and they have ended up having it all dropped. A mass of 50 charges has more pressure than any elderly man could ever stand. Hubbard simply won't last it and I will make that call now.

So where does that leave the SFO? What about the other directors? The CEO? The likes of Lachie McLeod? There are still other Hubbard entities to go as well.

Hubbard is playing the "Hotchin" card even as early as today. Insofar that he is doing the whole "don't pick on me pick on him" diversion. The problem for Hubbard is that Hotchin had a team of lawyers on his side giving advice through Hanover dealings and more importantly - he didn't force the taxpayer to underwrite a lazy billion on his failed venture. Hotchin hasn't cost the taxpayer a cent in bailout.

Hubbard today becomes finance company enemy #1. Still the Hublievers can't shut up in support of him.

I sincerely hope Hubbard didn't commit fraud and any indiscretions were simply that of a man too stubborn to realise he was past it and his business was too large for one man to control effectively without external advisors of better quality than flea audit and accounting firms.

Whatever the outcome, Hubbard's days are numbered. Justice will not be swift and the main enemy of the SFO is getting Hubbard before his Maker does.

The Problem With Kings

Look no further than this:

On Wednesday afternoon, the Holy Trinity cathedral filled with the sound of hip-hop, laced with expletives and lyrics such as "let's get high"

Disgraceful.

Its fees $20,000 for tuition plus $11,600 for boarders have risen above inflation over the past five years.

So parents are paying up to $31,600 per annum (or $600 per week) for their nice little children to be surrounded by hip-hop and random tough-guy wiggers who embrace gangster culture. I have met a few Kings kids in bars and their drinking isn't an issue, it is their speech impediments and love of wearing their clothes like the poor and the little gang members who attach to them that is the issue.

You might as well save your money and send your kids to a decile 1 school to be engulfed in that.

The first thing the Principal should do is take the school back to its nice, rich, white roots and lock out all the bad influences outside the gates. Kings worked nicely when it was for the snobby elite.

For $31,600 a year it is what you would expect.

This comment alluded to it:

Of the current issue, one parent told the Herald he was convinced there is a problem at the school.

"A huge challenge for King's," he says, "is an extraordinary self-indulgence amongst an element of the school."

That parent is too kind. What he really meant to say was "boot the wiggers out".

Dear Chris Flatt

Remember Chris Flatt whom I graciously accepted an apology and explanation from (no matter how wrong) for Labour's incompetence in keeping my data private from Whaleoil?

The same Chris Flatt who has again sent another letter to Whaleoil begging him to stop.

Here is now my open letter to Chris Flatt.

Dear Chris

You are embarrassing yourself, please stop. I have moved on from Labour's incompetence in keeping my data private. I have accepted your apology and will be taking no further action. Why then are you giving us the best example of the Streisand Effect this year in dragging this torture out accusing Whale of the very thing you did?

Please stop. Whale is killing you.

Love

Air New Zealand Best Blog Award 2011

As the winner of the inaugural awards last year I have the task of organising the 2011 awards.

Fortunately there is now no need to even expend the effort.

I think after Whaleleaks there is little argument that no one is going to top this effort of blogging mass destruction and we are only up to June.

Whaleleaks - capable of holding coverage through a Christchurch Earthquake.

"Politically Motivated Attacks"

http://whaleoil.gotcha.co.nz/files/2011/06/pwning-labour.jpg

Moira Coatsworth has done her best to smear Whaleoil's mischief making on the National Party. She's also had a go at ACT linking him to us as well. She really should just STFU. As Whaleoil said today to usurp Peter Goodfellow's comment of the day yesterday:

"Damn right they have no control over me, no one does, not even me"

This is the same National Party that has disowned Whaleoil and doesn't pay him a cent. I know because he constantly whines about it. The same National Party whose President has been pounded for years by the very blogger Labour now accuse National of collaborating with.

Sadly for Moira it doesn't quite wash. When screaming "politically motivated attack" she fails to recognise that EVERYTHING in politics is politically motivated.

For example given my donor details have been left all over the net for anyone to view, I have a far better case against Labour than anyone. Myself and their 451 other donors.

Now let's assume that all the other 451 donors are actually friendly fire, so unlikely to make a complaint, that leaves me sitting here as the clear black sheep.

I am a long-time very public member of ACT. I made the $10 donation because I was accused by a Senior Labour Party MP of making murky payments to Whaleoil. Nothing more or less sinister than that.

Now if I filed a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner for Labour's failure to secure my donor details, would Labour try and smear ACT with this? Would they scream "politically motivated attack"? Of course they would.

Moira, it's politics and everything is politically motivated. Those who cry "dirty tricks" and then smear their opponents with that tag are just pathetic. It is all politics.

Contrary to pressure from commentators and other blogs
I won't be making a complaint to the Privacy Commissioner because I think the whole situation is just totally amusing and contrary to good advice given, the Goffice and Party HQ is fucking it all up with every day that goes past and Whaleleaks continues to run and run. I declared my donation on Red Alert so it would be a harder argument to make in any instance admittedly, however even then I have the right as anyone does to be confident my details are at least stored somewhere secure to avoid wider publication than Red Alert.

I also won't be making a complaint to the Privacy Commissioner because it would be petty. We all play in the same sandpit and it would be running to the ref for a scratch under the eye.

But right now Moira is doing her very best to be that petty ref-runner in tainting everyone else in the piece except the incompetence of her own Party.

Moira won't be thanking me graciously for accepting Mr Flatt's apologetic email as a political enemy. No, that would be political. She will continue to smear away at the alleged "hacking" that never was. Whaleoil's tutorial in how he obtained the information was so easy to understand I had a go at following it and could do it.

The most important data Whaleoil has secured is not the few on the donations spreadsheet it is the database of 18,000 members and supporters. Every letter to the editor, every public anti-National statement by supposed civil servants can be cross referenced against that database. It will shine sunshine on every person masquerading as "neutral". Every person who made a donation can be googled and cross checked to find out their publicly known affiliations v their private political preferences. It's hard enough to get people to join a political party as it is and most people aren't "out and proud" about their affiliations as they have employment requiring some level of discretion.

This is what Labour are really dreading. That this will drag out of the shadows their Hollow Men and Women. Their key influencers not necessarily of Union backgrounds but their white labelled behind the scenes supporters and even businesspeople, many we could assume have benefited from Labour's handouts under Helen Clark's regime.

Which is why Whaleleaks is the best political scandal of this election year thus far. It is far-reaching, it will run and run.

Update: I understand one of these Hollow Men has written and complained to Peter Goodfellow about Whaleoil, you know Goodfellow being President of a Party that Whaleoil is not even a current member of. #MEGAFAIL. Sunshine will be shone on this very shortly.

Comment of the Day

http://www.supercoloring.com/wp-content/main/2009_01/two-dogs-nip-a-bone-coloring-page.gif

Whaleoil has been like a dog with a bone today but he has been upstaged by National Party President Peter Goodfellow with these comments:

"National had no interest in Labour's information of that kind and was not looking for it.

"We don't condone that sort of behaviour at all."

He declined to comment on Slater or his actions.

"I don't have any control over him. If you see what he has written about me you would probably say I probably don't have any control over him. I mean you are talking to the wrong guy there," he said.

Slater, the son of former National president John Slater, was strongly opposed to Goodfellow's bid for the National presidency".

Superb and true.

My Labour Donation Shame

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iZA7jp2mKE4/TZv8wr4piXI/AAAAAAAAAKI/0fW37PwESJs/s1600/shame.jpg

During the heat of battle over scurrilous claims that I was Whaleoil's sugar mummy, I made a $10 donation to the Labour Party to prove not only the level of my benevolence, but to give the Labour Party record of the fashion in which I paid money into Whaleoil's account.

Little did I know that the Labour Party had not secured my information correctly so an evil right-wing blogger could release this information.

Today Whaleoil will be doing more of just that.

Yesterday Mr Chris Flatt issued this apology via email of which I graciously and benevolently accept and forgive him for. After all, there's no point taking any action against an organisation that clearly is so broken-arse. The poor chap is having a 'mare of a week and it is only going to get worse for him. Of course the card I used was just my standard HSBC Mastercard with a spending limit. If it had been the AMEX without the limit then it would be another story as I would have needed to get a new card and with it learn a whole new number to memory.

The problem I have with Chris' "apology" is this letter that was sent to Whaleoil where he seems to think that Whaleoil is the one breaching the Privacy Act.

I would hasten to add that people in glasshouses most definitely should not be throwing rocks.

Read in isolation without the reasons for my donation to Labour I am the one that is harmed more than Mr Flatt or Labour. If I did not have the opportunity to explain why I was on the Labour donor's list before it was highlighted online, can you think of a more damaging issue reputationally for a right-winger like myself? Being caught donating money to the Labour Party? I just back-washed vomit typing that.

Which brings me to this. If Trevor Mallard manages to get rid of his crutches and have his colleagues assist his backside up on a bike to beat Whaleoil for 60kms, my "donation" of $1,000 to Labour could indeed at this rate end up being one of the largest individual donations they receive.

And my Labour donation shame will continue.

Earth to ACT - Throw Calvert Overboard!!!

Please Dear God shut this woman up!!!

I just can't take it anymore. What barrel did ACT scrape to find this mad woman?

"No... and I don't care if they display the characteristics of chopping their heads off and running around the garden without their heads either. We care about people ahead of silly little chickens," Calvert said

Kriek said SAFE will be seeking clarity from the Act Party as to whether the views of its MP are representative of the party.

Not this member's view, battery farming is disgusting. I only buy free range eggs. As politically incorrect and abusive as I can be, when I call out someone for inappropriate comments because even I have cringed, you know there is a problem.

If ACT wish to be sidetracked by piss poor issues like this then go ahead but the lack of discipline shown to make this stupid comment was appalling. Calvert wasn't misquoted, it was a direct stupid comment. Why bother making an issue out of battery farming, the Greens own cuddling of animals? No Party does it better.

It is one thing to eat dead animals, it is another thing to disrespect animals while they are living and make their lives as miserable as hell.

People over animals? People make choices, animals don't have that luxury.

Calvert should ask her new colleague Patron Saint of the SPCA, John Banks what his views are on the mistreatment of animals. While she's at it she should perhaps have informed her new Leader about the eyes on the brothel.

I personally cannot wait to rank my ACT Party list candidates. Calvert will not be on my list at all. Another piss poor quality female candidate #fail.

Little wonder we have to revert to grumpy old men. All the women seem to do is commit fraud, shag men who were helping them, endlessly plot coups and make David Garrett look like a potential career diplomat.

At least the grumpy old men like chickens.

Postscript - Brunette withheld this from me overnight. Just as well. I had an excellent night out.

A Real Protest

Typical of a leftie, Clare Curran didn't quite nail her Highlanders protest. Labour, being a party of school teachers should surely know what "business attire" is NOT.

http://static2.stuff.co.nz/1307422568/561/5110561.jpg

This is how she should have approached matters from a Labour feminist, perspective when asked to leave the House for a clear violation of "business attire".....

Probably the most memorable moment in women's sport when a straight woman ripped her shirt off to reveal this...

Runaway Advanced Adjustment Mechanism Mathematics

I have been trying to think all week how to present some estimates of the effect of Runaway Alloway's Abandonment of Allied and the new vehicle RS Racing Limited aka as Prestige Livestock Limited. I decided there was no easy way.

http://www.cpcpc.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/math-problem-300x199.jpg

Reverting to the Allied Farmers "Simplified" Disclosure Prospectus relevant formula can be found at pages 12 here of November 2009.

With a ridiculous example of just a $20m shortfall. And the old figure of issue price of 35 cents (when it ended up being lower).

Currently there many very well be a $300m shortfall based on the original assumption of the $396m Assessed value. I have plugged in some numbers for higher and lower estimates.

Allied Shortfall Calculation

The highlighted column shows that prior to the Hanover deal, Alloway as Allied's largest shareholder held 14.4% of Allied's shares and this was diluted down to .2788%. Runaway's reward for tanking the Hanover assets from $396 million to an estimated $96 million is for his shareholding to increase to 1.0832% of total Allied shares. In other words he has now around 300% more shares in Allied than at the time of the deal.

Original Allied shareholders will now own 7.5% of total shares in Allied. Compared with at the time of the deal owning 1.9%. So almost 300% more.

Confused?

Yes well I've run the numbers several times with the formula based off the table in the Hanover offering documents as well and (hope) I've got it right.

There was precious opportunity for the adjustment mechanism to be understood by the "Ma and Pa" Hanover investors at the time, especially with just a predicted $20m shortfall as opposed to a possible $300m shortfall.

Perhaps those who have already quoted the existence of the June 2011 mechanism would like to give it a crack in describing it and how the only winner I can see is Runaway Alloway, the man responsible for dumping ex- Hanover assets and realising losses prior to this adjustment hit date.

Especially with a vulture finance vehicle in the wings.

Len Brown's Begging Problem

This trip I have also noticed the increased amount of beggars down Queen Street.

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OloBO_z8xjI/Td1EI5ZHKII/AAAAAAAAAUE/pJ0vZBTNA6w/s1600/beggar.jpg

The only thing that's changed since I was last back many months ago is that this man is now the Mayor.

http://static2.stuff.co.nz/1277346939/706/3815706.jpg

A limp wristed approach has obviously meant that Auckland's entrampreneur class find it more friendly to sit across prime real estate on mats and beg for money from tourists and ubiquitous underage children pretending to be old enough to drink in bars.

If these people want more money why can't they go litter outside WINZ offices? New Zealand has a welfare state, there is no excuse for allowing begging.

Not only are they spreading out in front of McDonald's but I counted over the week eight spots of choice.

Queen Street really is a disgrace. The sooner they get proper street lighting and curfew it to those out of zone and use Police to patrol the borders, the better. More inner city apartments and actual residents living in here would also make a difference.

I cringe if this is the sight thousands of tourists will be faced with come August and September - eyesore begging, rowdy students and otherwise near deserted streets with poor lighting.

The Supercity, the dikshit of a Mayor and Crusher Collins need to fix it up pronto.

Auckland

I am prone to stepping off the plane and straight into bars and restaurants on arrival in New Zealand then not stopping until the inevitable happens and I collapse with the seasonal flu after averaging several hours sleep a night.

Question
- Do we have to wait until the rugby world cup for people to get the fuck off their couch, empty their wallets and party?

Seriously dead(ed) city.

"Long lunch" here now consists of the daily special and a few Heinekens. Oh and don't forget drug dealer looking types smoking cigarettes near your table sitting on their one Heineken as you try to consume the last lot of Bluffs.

The champagne looks like its been in storage eight months since I was last here and all that glorious food in kitchens must be staying there longer than before.

I would be very interested to see a) how many places are only open praying for RWC salvation and b) how many will still be here after the RWC?

This trip has been the worst I have seen for the hospitality industry.

Allied Car Porn

My tipline cactus(dot)kate at hotmail(dot)com has been fielding angry emails from penny stock bottom dwellers Allied Finace related persons all morning. As usual my favourite emails are ones with porn attached.

It is no secret that I love cars. Not necessarily the men attached inside or outside of them, in fact I've never met a man with a fast car worth more than a hundred grand who is hotter than the car itself.

Wonder if the car comes with an adjustment mechanism?
