Thoughts on Labour Leadership

If Labour don't want David Shearer I suggest ACT just buy him. We sure as hell didn't spend the coin on good advertising.

Yeah that approach has worked well up to now.

If I was looking to 'buy' it wouldnt be in a penny dreadful but since National has shorted ACT for a while to protect their original long term investment its time to move on.

Much more profitable to work a reverse takeover between Colin Craig and New Zealand First.

I doubt that someone with David Shearer's qualities are available to the highest bidder at any price. He is a sure fire winner for Labour in 2014 and possible earlier if National loses its tenuous majority by a scandal and the Maori Party goes into opposition.

Prebble was right, Rodney was wrong.

Prebble said concentrate on the party vote. It all went downhill when Rodney transformed from a pugnacious obese sidekick (a role which I think he was pretty good at) into a cause celeb after the Epsom vote. That's not to say it's only Rodney's fault - there are lots of other reasons, just saying that was the turning point.

And now, John Banks - a fuddy duddy conservative trying to be leader of ACT? It is a bad joke. Are you still a member Cactus?

Anonymous - problem with that reasoning was Don Brash was concentrating on the Party vote and offered up a 15% target for it.

The oxymoron of Labour leadership. Hopefully they don't throw up another strawman like Goff. Head girl Helen lead Labour... Oh I'm sorry, I got confused, I meant dictated...

Cactus, of course Don Brash was focussing on the Party vote. And Banks was focussing on Epsom. If Brash had been standing in Epsom he would have focussed on Epsom as well as the PV. I thought Brash and Banks made a pretty good team (Brash PV, Banks Epsom) until Banks fell for the media bait over the cannabis discussion issue.

Notice how Shearer stammered over the question Sainsbury asked about whether he was a lefty?
