Taking My Advice
The other day I gave some strategic advice to Occupy Aotea Square squatters that they have to move from their current insignificant base and actually get off their backsides and create some havoc.
Today they had a field trip to the Citibank Centre to the US Consulate.
Do you know this man? I think it is Hone Harawira disguised heavily in cap and scarf over his face concealed in the mask of a white man.
In true New Zealand Occupy tradition of not being able to organise a piss-up in a brewery they were directionless, charmless, hopeless and most importantly - took no hot chicks.
Bit like the Labour Party but at least they have Jacinda. Well they will have when they depose their current no-mates Phil and let her front the next lot of Telecom inspired ads.

Good, I get to repeat my post to NBR and SOLO:
Even if the percentages were right, and they're a nonsense, the 99% whose lives have been made much better because they can live off the innovations - computers, iPhones, etc - made by the risk taking 1%, are in reality protesting against the crony capitalist system they voted for.
And now the chump in this picture is wearing the Palestinian symbol of terrorism around his gaping maw. Given that the thing around his evil neck is a declaration of the intent to initiate force, I’d say give the US consulate authority to fire on them in their self defence.
Numb nuts. Leave the Occupiers where they are as a monument to the monumental stupidity the welfare state breeds, though if the authorities were serious about disbanding them, then all they need to do is cut off the benefits: obviously none of them are actively looking for work while on the protest.
These "directionless, charmless, hopeless" people are really getting to you. It's great. May they continue to, and may you continue to respond.

I notice that the sexual predator and Urewera 18 defendant Omar Hamed is present in the photos. I wonder how the nice folk at the Handmirror and similar sites feel about having him continue to front causes that they support (seeing as they outed him as a danger to wimin several months ago).
