Yet another reason the man was unfit for the PM's job. It's UnAustralian. There's no nice way to leave politics. Very few resign happily when they are in power. If the voters don't kick you out, those who are on your own side will. Every victory is tainted with the knowledge you are one day closer every day to being rolled.
Enter stage left - Julia Gillard
Like Helen Clark immediately the poor woman faces charges of being a lesbian even though she has a relationship with a bloke, who many don't view as a bloke because he is a hairdresser.
I've even seen commentary that she doesn't have children so can't possibly know what it is like to form policy for families and their children. An interesting application of bigotry, sort of like you don't know anything about housing because you don't own your own home, or you don't know anything about being poor because you are rich.
I'm far more worried she's Welsh and a Socialist.
My only question mark as to the woman's credentials to take over from a lightweight such as non-termer KRudd would be that if you were living with a male hairdresser then how did you get out of the house wearing a ghastly colour job like the one above?

Yes, poor hairdressers don't score highly in the machismo ratings do they. It is odd that cooking, a traditionally female task in the domestic context, is a very macho occupation for a man.
Perhaps he needs to re-brand as barber ? Barber shops are are all sweat and soft-core porn. Can't sea a barber entering a marriage of convenience.

Mark, it looks like the AU electorate wants an ETS.
What a load of arse, no-one wants an ETS and most people have no fucking idea what it is, or how it will work and impact them.
Gillard is a ginga and is therefore unaustralian.

But the fact that she's - as Mark H - writes a hard line socialist is a real worry for all Australians. Back to the bad old days of the unions calling the shots rather than the electorate - Gillard will allow them to do whatever they want, bacuse they installed her and now they own her.

Ck the hair colour's not that bad and the hair usually has a bit style about it. What's a ranga? And yes the biggest worry is the leftiness of her politics not her hair or her orientation

Nay the Australian people do not want a ETS but the Fabian Socialists of Australia do. The Australian people are really and truly stuffed.
Sadly I think many of the attacks against her will be based on her gender rather than her politics.

Just another socialist thief.
She was responsible for the policies that took the Australian government from AUD19-billion in the bank to AUD35-billion debt in 18 months. She was silly enough to support the idea that a big tax on the mining sector could change the govt's position and pay off the debt inside a year or two. She was silly enough to think that this would allow her mob of parasites to go on spending and spending and spending without pause.
It'd be nice to see someone light her hair on fire.
