"Sir" Wira Chucks Toys - Took ONE Day

http://www.whaleoil.co.nz/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=6522&g2_serialNumber=1

As Whaleoil rightly predicted, fairweather National supporter Wira Gardiner has chucked his toys in. It took just ONE day.

Now Presidential battles are infamous in the National Party. Contenders win, then they lose. The battles can be nasty, divisive and intensely "political".

Contenders are judged by how they respond. Wira isn't the first uppity contender who thought they were more popular than they actually were. He won't be the last.

Even Michelle Boag didn't thrown her toys after ONE day. She's still a member. For all that is written about her - she is a Party Loyalist.

Wira is a trougher.

Meritocracy and aspiration?

Wira is a true member of the Maoritocracy and will go down as a toy-chucker as well.

Surely you meant Michelle? I can't believe that Wira is a real Nat loyalist - loyalists are by definition loyal, they don't desert at the first sign of a light drizzle.

The funny thing is that if my wife was in caucus, I'd think twice about putting myself up for the governing body of the party. That job's enough like trying to calm a sack of crack-crazed kittens at the best of times, without handing your opponents a conflict of interest stick to beat you over the head with.
