The Winnebago Blogging Tour
Whale Oil and DPF are about to set off on a month long bus tour of New Zealand before the election in the "Winnebago Blogmobile". They are inviting all comers to jump on board and travel with them. It should be a weird mix of the unemployed and those needing not to be employed.
While I will not be making the trip across, forgetting the 12 hour plane ride, but any time spent in provincial New Zealand.....yuck........least the accommodation standard is sub-optimal...I am looking forward to some hilarious tales from both about the other one's behaviour. Especially reports about Whale meeting some of the candidates or even the locals.
A typical response from DPF in relation to pretty much any candidate is like his comment about Andertonite Pinko Josie Pagani. DPF has a templated response to most standing that he has dealt with:
"xxxx would be a great MP. xxxx is a former xxxxx press secretary, and one of life’s really neat people. I’d almost be tempted to vote xxxxx if it were not for the fact that I’d get xxxxxx back also!".
We know that DPF isn't joking, but he will say that about anyone because he is the ultimate political slut. DPF loves all forms of politics.
Or on the death of Brian Donnelly, which could equally be used to any Minister DPF describes:
He was an excellent Minister, a conscientious MP and a damn nice guy. He was a true believer in the value of public service and spent his life trying to enrich the lives of other people.
Whale on the other hand........gleefully noted that Donnelly wouldn't be giving evidence to the SFO.
One month of pizza, beer, chips and takeout a before and after shot is required of both........

I am sure that I will have DPF's profound sympathy by journeys end and admiration at my fortitude giggle.
Ummm will we be able to tell the difference with a before and after pic - I thought that sounded like DPF's standard diet anyhow.
