Debt Stress

Say WHAT?

Another silly buzz word - "debt divide"

The survey conducted last month shows younger New Zealanders and middle income earners (those earning $30,000-$49,999) face the greatest risk of debt troubles.

People aged between 18 and 49 are showing the most significant signs of problematic credit card use, with 31 per cent expecting to use their credit card to cover otherwise unaffordable expenses in the next three months.

Older people are richer. This is no accident. Even if they are mildly retarded with money as a function of time they've had longer to get richer.

But in the spirit of Christmas I ask parents of all 18-49 year olds, especially ones whose children are overseas working for financial reasons to write their children a bloody big cheque to compensate for the debt divide and our debt stress. Even if we have no debt. Well, especially if we have no debt. We should be rewarded more for that achievement.

The stress of reading about debt is having a negative emotional impact on me.
