Game Over Winston
Now far from it for me to state the obvious, but what the HELL are the National Party Research Unit actually doing.
We know Winston Peters is a liar, we know that he is struggling under the high ball and possibly with Alzheimers and Dementia kicking in so EVERYTHING he says should be immediately googled, searched and Hansarded in order to prove otherwise. This information should then be sent immediately to MP's in the House.
Once again VRWC blogger Whale Oil has usurped the entire National Party Research Unit and discovered the most damning direct evidence of Peters lying to date.
Peters claimed in response to Owen Glenn's letter (below) that he never went to Karaka sales in 2006 so could never have met Owen Glenn. But here he is pictured there.

The National Party Research Unit continue to be rubbish. Bloggers Whale Oil and David Farrar appear to provide more timely information than they do. Then there was a beauty from Alan Wilkinson (a commenter on Kiwiblog, whom I assume doesn't work in the Research Unit) who did a simple search of Hansard in 2006:
I will give members an example relating to Don Brash and the National Party. I saw them at the Karaka saleyards this year. In 20 years, National Party members have done nothing for racing whatsoever. But there they were, totally supportive all of a sudden of the racing industry.
So in other words, Research Unit, get off your little Tory tuffs and do some useful work. There's enough of you to do some damage if you didn't treat the job as an internship for suckling off the public tit or entry to PR firms, feeling all important running around MP's bottoms all day, quoting "John says".....

It's about time someone called Teflon Winnie on his lies and called him to account.
I'm just wondering what is inside that envelope?
Sadly Peters never said he did not attend in 2006. He just said he did not meet Glenn that year.
